Are you looking for help and support for a child or young person because they are struggling with their learning, friendships, emotional well-being and/or their behaviour at school?

My name is Dr Hannah Gorham. I am an independent Educational Psychologist and Chartered Psychologist living in Haslemere, West Sussex, and working in the surrounding area.
Educational Psychologists have an in depth understanding of the educational and psychological needs of children and young people.
My aim is to provide a high quality consultation service using educational psychology to support families, nurseries/schools and other professionals and services to promote the development, participation, learning and achievement of all children and young people.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Every child is special, unique and deserves to be happy. They have the right to feel listened to, supported and understood. They deserve to do their best at school and feel like a successful learner.

ABOUT
I am a highly motivated and creative practitioner, always striving to find solutions. I am honest, straight talking and transparent about the way that I work.
Before training and working as an educational psychologist in inner London, I worked as a primary school teacher in Cambridge, Harrogate and London and therefore have a good understanding of, and appreciation for, how schools generally work and the many challenges nurseries/schools and families face.
I have two children who have additional needs. When I work with parents/carers I am mindful of their expertise on their own child, their desire to support and be proud of their child and I am keen to explore how everyone in the child’s support network can contribute with their strengths and skills to help the child.
I am bilingual (English/Swedish) and have always had a keen interest in how children learn more than one language. I have an international schooling background and so am very aware of the cultural influences on a child’s development and I am very interested in how different communities approach difficulties experienced by children.
